ROUSING WELCOME IN ATAN AS OMO-IWA JOINS CHAIRMAN BADEJO TO COMMISSION 21 LEGACY PROJECTS IN IJEBU NORTH EAST

 

*ATAN, Ijebu North East* 

— It was a celebration of progress, unity, and grassroots impact as the people of Ijebu North East Local Government gave a rousing welcome to their Federal Representative, *Hon. Femi Ogunbanwo* popularly known as *Omo-Iwa*, who joined top dignitaries to commission *21 legacy projects* executed by the Executive Chairman, *Hon. Folusho Badejo*.

The colourful commissioning ceremony held in Atan drew an impressive turnout of political leaders, traditional rulers, and community stakeholders. The event was graced by *Dr. (Mrs.) Bamidele Abiodun*, First Lady of Ogun State; *Mrs. Derin Talabi*, wife of the Secretary to the State Government; *Dr. Akinlesi*, Permanent Secretary, Ministry of Local Government and Chieftaincy Affairs; and *Chief James Dina*, Ogun State APC Deputy Chairman. Also in attendance were revered Kabiyesis, Baales, party leaders, and other eminent personalities — a clear demonstration of broad support for the Chairman’s developmental agenda.

The 21 projects, carefully selected through extensive community consultations, span critical sectors aimed at improving the daily lives of residents. From infrastructure and healthcare to education and market facilities, the projects stand as a testament to *prudent management of public resources* and *a people-centered approach to governance*.

In his address, Hon. Ogunbanwo lauded Hon. Badejo for his visionary leadership, fiscal discipline, and commitment to delivering tangible results at the grassroots.

*“This is governance with a human face,”* Omo-Iwa declared. *“Chairman Badejo has shown that when leadership is sincere and resources are well-managed, the dividends of democracy become visible to the people.”*  

He further assured residents of continued legislative support and collaboration with the federal government to ensure Ijebu North East remains on the path of sustainable and inclusive development.

Residents, who turned out in large numbers, described the commissioning as evidence of purposeful leadership. The atmosphere was filled with optimism, with many expressing hope for more development in the months ahead.

For Ijebu North East, the day was more than the unveiling of infrastructure. It was a powerful affirmation that *visionary leadership, accountability, and collaboration* can turn campaign promises into lasting legacies for the people.
