OGUN GOVT APPROVES IMMEDIATE RECONSTRUCTION OF 5 KEY ROADS ACROSS THE
In a major boost to infrastructure and economic development, the *Ogun State Executive Council* has approved the *immediate reconstruction* of five strategic roads across the state.
The approval, announced after the Council’s meeting, underscores the Dapo Abiodun administration’s commitment to opening up communities, easing movement of people and goods, and strengthening connectivity between major towns and institutions.
The roads approved for immediate reconstruction are:
1. *Ayobo (Mopol Junction) – Lafenwa Junction Road, Ota*
_To decongest the busy Ota axis and improve trade links within Ogun Central_
2. *Okun-Owa – Ijebu-Ode Road*
_To enhance access to Ijebu-Ode and boost agricultural and commercial activities_
3. *Ago-Iwoye – Ijebu-Igbo – Abraham Adesanya Polytechnic Road*
_To improve access to one of the state’s key tertiary institutions and surrounding communities_
4. *Odeda – Olugbo Road, Phase One*
_To open up rural communities and support agro-allied businesses_
5. *Agbala Road, Iperu*
_To upgrade infrastructure in the growing Iperu township_
According to the Council, the reconstruction will be carried out to durable standards to ensure longevity and maximum impact on residents, commuters, students, farmers, and businesses.
This intervention is expected to reduce travel time, lower transportation costs, and stimulate economic activities along these corridors.
With this approval, the Ogun State Government has once again reaffirmed its “Building Our Future Together” agenda — delivering infrastructure that directly touches the lives of the people.
