Student Leaders Speak Out on Deployment of SWAT and Anti-Cultism Squads to Isara, Ipara, and Ode

Student leaders have expressed their reactions to the recent deployment of SWAT and Anti-Cultism squads to Isara, Ipara, and Ode in Ogun State, Nigeria. The move is part of efforts to curb cult-related activities and maintain peace in the area.

The deployment follows concerns about cultism in secondary schools and universities, with some students reportedly being coerced into joining cult groups.

The Ogun State Police Command had previously arrested 18 teenagers from Abeokuta for engaging in cult-related activities, highlighting the need for proactive measures.

The Anti-Cultism squads are equipped to respond swiftly and professionally to cultism-related threats.

The student leaders' reactions to the deployment vary, with some welcoming the initiative as a necessary step to ensure safety, while others express concerns about potential excesses by security personnel
