Lagos Government Gives Squatters Final Eviction Notice in Obalende 😊*
The Lagos State Government has issued a final warning to squatters and operators of illegal motor parks in Obalende to vacate the area. The government plans to hand over the site to a new developer and will begin enforcement actions on Friday morning if they don't comply.
The notice was given by the Commissioner for Environment and Water Resources, Tokunbo Wahab, who stated that the area will be cleaned up and beautified as part of the state's efforts to improve its infrastructure.
The government has also identified other areas, including Apongbon Under bridge and Ebute Ero under bridge, for similar cleanup exercises.
The move is part of the state's efforts to restore order and aesthetics in the area, which has been plagued by squatters and illegal activities. The government has provided alternative locations for commercial vehicle operators and traders to relocate to.
