Ijebu Ode Local Government Takes Stand on Dilapidated Schools*
The Executive Chairman of Ijebu Ode Local Government, Hon. Dare Alebiosu (Dre), has expressed deep concern over the deplorable state of public schools in the area. Following a second assessment visit to Our Saviour Schools, Wesley Schools Folagbade, and Porogun School in Italapo, Alebiosu lamented the further deterioration of these schools, citing uncomfortable learning conditions.
In a statement, Alebiosu emphasized that children deserve dignity, safety, and conducive learning environments, not neglect. He reaffirmed his commitment to restoring these schools to worthy standards, aligning with his vision to shape a better Ijebu Ode.
He said, "Our children, the leaders of tomorrow, should not be expected to learn or grow in such dilapidated conditions. Education deserves dignity, safety, and an environment that encourages learning, not neglect."
The visit highlights the urgent need for improved infrastructure and maintenance in public schools.
Alebiosu's proactive approach aims to provide quality education and a brighter future for Ijebu Ode's children. The goal is clear: to fix and restore these schools to environments worthy of the children, a core part of shaping a better Ijebu Ode.
