The Lagos State Police Command has arrested a taxi driver, identified as Adedayo Ben Adegbola, in connection with multiple cases of rape, defilement, assault, and armed robbery targeting female passengers. The suspect's arrest followed a thorough investigation sparked by complaints from victims and viral social media posts. According to the police, the suspect was apprehended on October 31, 2025, after a detailed investigation led by the State Criminal Investigation Department (SCID). A red Toyota Corolla, allegedly used in the commission of the crimes, was recovered from the suspect's possession. The police are working to gather more evidence and apprehend any accomplices.   NDLEA Ogun State Command, under the amiable leadership of the State Commander, CN Tijjani Rabe, continued to record significant breakthroughs in the fight against drug trafficking and abuse across the State. In the early hours of Saturday, 1st November 2025, operatives of the Command carried out a well-coordinated, intelligence-led operation which resulted in a major interception. Acting swiftly on credible intelligence, the operatives arrested three suspects: 1. Rauf Asogba (Male, 28 years) 2. Seun Olaniyi (Male, 24 years) 3. Ayinla Adeniyi (Male, 50 years) The suspects were apprehended while transporting a large consignment (1.77 tonnes= 1,779 kilograms) of cannabis sativa from Imeko axis en route Abeokuta, the Ogun State capital.
