Ogun APC Ratifies Suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin*

The All Progressives Congress (APC) in Ogun State has ratified the suspension of two of its members, Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin, for alleged anti-party activities. The suspension was affirmed by the State Working Committee (SWC) of the party, chaired by Chief Yemi Sanusi.

*Background*

The suspensions followed investigations by Disciplinary Committees set up by Ward 4 and Ward 6 of Sagamu Local Government. The committees probed allegations of misconduct and anti-party activities against Senator Daniel and Hon. Folarin, respectively. Despite being invited to disciplinary meetings, both members failed to respond, provide written defense, or attend the meetings.

*Findings and Suspension*

The committees deliberated on the allegations, considered documentary evidence, and suspended the members indefinitely pending further investigation. The suspensions were based on the members' failure to cooperate with the investigation and attempts to pressure party members to withdraw petitions against them.

*Ratification*

The SWC, comprising 16 members, ratified the suspensions after due consideration. This decision demonstrates the party's commitment to maintaining discipline and upholding its constitution.

*Party's Commitment*

The APC's action underscores its determination to ensure adherence to its rules and principles. By taking decisive action against members engaging in anti-party activities, the party aims to maintain unity and cohesion among its ranks.

*Conclusion*

The suspension of Senator Gbenga Daniel and Hon. Kunle Folarin serves as a reminder of the importance of party discipline and loyalty. The APC's commitment to upholding its constitution and values will likely have a positive impact on the party's overall integrity and effectiveness.
