Important Update on Oro Curfew in Ijebu Ode" Hon Dare Alebiosu
Fellow residents of Ijebu Ode Local Government Area,
As we approach the final days of the Oro curfew, I wish to reiterate the importance of adhering to the restrictions in place. The curfew, which remains in effect daily from 12:00 midnight to 4:00 a.m. until Tuesday, August 5th, 2025, is a longstanding cultural heritage of our people.

- *Movement Restrictions*: All movement within the affected areas is strictly prohibited during curfew hours. Security agencies and community vigilantes will be on patrol to enforce compliance

- *No Exemptions*: All individuals, regardless of status or occupation, are expected to remain indoors from midnight to 4:00 a.m.
- *Security Assurance*: The local government, in collaboration with security agencies, assures all residents of their safety. The curfew is preventive in nature and aims to avoid any disruption or threat during the traditional rites.
- *Community Support*: We appeal for maximum cooperation from all residents. Traditional institutions, youth groups, community leaders, and civil organizations are encouraged to sensitize their members and support peaceful adherence to the directive.
