TRAGEDY IN DELTA COMMUNITY: FAMILY VIOLENCE ENDS IN FATHER'S DEATH

 


A disturbing incident has rocked the Sapele Local Government Area of Delta State, where a young girl named Onyinye and her mother allegedly beat her father to death. The incident occurred along Urhobo Road, sparking shock and concern among residents.


THE INCIDENT

According to reports, the deceased, a commercial tricycle operator, was reprimanding his daughter for her second pregnancy out of wedlock. The situation escalated, and Onyinye became angry, attacking her father. Her mother joined in, and together they allegedly beat him until he fell and hit his head on the ground, resulting in his instant death.


ARREST AND INVESTIGATION

The police were alerted, and both the mother and daughter were arrested. However, the Delta State Police Public Relations Officer, SP Bright Edafe, claimed that the matter had not been reported, contradicting reports from the community.
