DEMOCRACY HAS LOST A TEAM CAPTAIN. OMO IWA EULOGIZE LATE PA AYO ADEBANJO

 


I received with shock and sadness, the news of the transition to glory of your (our) beloved patriarch and Elder Statesman, Pa. Ayo Adebanjo which occurred on Friday, 14th February, 2025, at the age of 96.

On behalf of my family, and the entire People of Ijebu-Ode/ Odogbolu/ Ijebu North East Federal Constituency. I Commiserate with the Adebanjo family, in Particular, the entire people of Ogun State and Nigeria in general, on this PAINFUL EXIT.



Baba was an accomplished man, leaving behind a legacy of love and devotion to this country and people. He dedicated his life to the pursuit of justice, equality and true federalism. He would also be remembered for his unwavering commitment to the values of love, unity, selflessness and patriotism to the country. As Nigerians mourn the loss of this Nationalist and Statesman, they will also remember that the departure of Pa. Ayo Adebanjo has left us with a deep pain and a big void that will be very difficult to fill. His transition is not just a glorious end of the earthy sojourn of an individual, it is indeed the end of an era that was greatly impactful. He lived a life of service to our great nation Nigeria and served the society meritoriously, ensuring the best democratic principles and practice.



No doubt, it is not just the Adebanjo family of Isanya-ogbo that has lost a rare gem; Afenifere and the entire coalition of democratic struggle have lost a ranking member and a Captain. Truly, a  curtain has been drawn on an impactful life of great accomplishments in many spheres.

It is expedient to note that the narrative of his eventful life will continue to inspire many, most especially the younger generations. He will be sorely missed by all sundry.


Nonetheless, I urge the family, friends, associates and the democratic groups to take solace in the fact that he lived a worthy life and left fond memories. May the Almighty God grant him eternal rest and give the family and in fact, all of us, the strength to bear the irreparable loss.



Once again, please accept my heartfelt condolences and the assurances of my family and the entire People of Ijebu-Ode/ Odogbolu/ Ijebu North East Federal Constituency as always.

MAN CAUGHT DISGUISING AS A MAD PERSON IN IJEBU ODE WITH STOLEN ITEMS"*

  A bizarre incident occurred in Ijebu Ode, Ogun State, when a young man, Tosin Moshood, was caught disguising as a mad person. A distress call was made to a renowned journalist in the town, who quickly visited the scene. Moshood was found under the Ejirin road express bridge, but an observant individual noticed his suspicious behavior and alerted others.
