CHARACTER ASSASSINATION IN POLITICS

Image
completely understand and agree with your sentiment regarding the importance of avoiding character assassination. Character assassination refers to the deliberate act of attacking someone's reputation or personal qualities rather than engaging in a constructive discussion on the issues at hand. Character assassination tactics, such as spreading false rumors, engaging in personal attacks, or manipulating information, are detrimental to the political discourse. They divert attention away from substantive issues, undermine trust, and create an environment of hostility and division. To foster a healthier political environment and promote productive conversations, it is crucial to focus on the merits of ideas, policies, and arguments rather than resorting to personal attacks. Instead of attacking an individual's character, it is more effective to engage in respectful and evidence-based discussions, where the focus is on the substance of the matter being debated. By emphasizing subst...

COUNTDOWN TO HIS SENT FORTH CEREMONY My Appraisal.... (2) RESOUNDING NIGERIA POLICE EFFORT IN IJEBU ODE

Image
In thi s write-up,  I would like to highlight the resounding efforts of ACP MUSILIU ISHOLA DOGA,  then a senior police officer, in Ijebu Ode, Nigeria.  As an investigative journalist and Crime reporter,  I have had the privilege of meeting and interacting with him, and I must say that he has played a significant role in my career. (Formerly known as CSP Musiliu Ishola Doga,)  ACP Doga has been instrumental in shaping my path as a journalist.  His integrity and ability to positively impact those around him have made him a great man, regardless of his post and position he has acquired. When I first met ACP DOGA,  I was intrigued by his persona.  I couldn't help but wonder if he was just a police officer or something more.  However, as I got to know him better,  I realized that he is not just a police officer, but a true peacemaker and a champion of justice. If you have the opportunity to meet ACP DOGA and still believe that all police offi...

WHAT DO BOXING DAY MEAN?

Image
The name Boxing Day comes from a time when rich people used to gift boxes of presents to the poor.  Boxing Day was traditionally a day off for servants, a day when they received a special Christmas box from their masters. The servants would also go home on Boxing Day to give Christmas boxes to their families. In history, tradespeople would typically work on December 25 and celebrate with their families on December 26 with the boxes and gifts given to them by their employers, thus the day became known as Boxing Day, according to the Encyclopedia Britannica. It's not a day to fight but a day to exchange gifts among one another. Make someone happy today with your gift. The spirit behind the gift matters most and not the gift at all. Happy Boxing Day!.
