GOV. ABIODUN HAILS IGP TUNJI DISU AS POLICE DEPLOY AERIAL SURVEILLANCE AIRCRAFT TO BOOST OGUN SECURITY

ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE

— Ogun State Governor, *Prince Dapo Abiodun, CON*, has commended the *Inspector General of Police, IGP Tunji Disu*, for the swift deployment of an operational police aircraft to strengthen security across the state.

The aerial asset is expected to significantly enhance *real-time surveillance, intelligence gathering, and rapid response operations*, particularly in hard-to-reach areas.

This deployment comes as a major boost to *“Operation Kosaye”* — the joint security initiative launched by the Ogun State Government to flush out kidnappers, bandits, and other criminal elements hiding in forests, border communities, and identified flashpoints across the state.

Representing the Governor at the official reception of the aircraft, the *Secretary to the State Government, Mr. Tokunbo Talabi*, expressed profound appreciation to the IGP and the Nigeria Police Force. 

He noted that the gesture underscores the *strong synergy and mutual trust* between the Ogun State Government and federal security agencies in the collective fight against crime.

Speaking on the development, Governor Abiodun reaffirmed his administration’s unwavering commitment to *prioritizing the safety and security of all residents*.

*“This aircraft is a game-changer. It will give our security forces the aerial advantage needed to dominate the skies, track criminal movements, and respond swiftly to distress calls. We are grateful to the IGP for this proactive support,”* the Governor stated.

He further assured that his administration will continue to *invest in technology, logistics, and welfare* for all security agencies operating in the state, as part of its broader strategy to guarantee peace and create an enabling environment for sustainable development.

The Governor called on residents to continue cooperating with security agencies by providing timely and credible information, stressing that *“security is a shared responsibility.”
