CP BODE OJAJUNI HOSTS OGUN HUNTERS, HAILS ROLE IN “OPERATION KOSAYE” AND CALLS FOR DEEPER SECURITY COLLABORATION

ABEOKUTA, OGUN STATE

— The Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, *CP Bode Ojajuni, psc, FCSS, MNIPR*, on Monday received members of the *Ogun State Hunters Association* on a courtesy visit at the Command Headquarters, Eleweran, Abeokuta.

The delegation was led by the State President, *Chief Muftau Alabi Oseni*, and included the State Chairman, *Chief Tajudeen Adele*, Trustee *Chief Bakare Ajayi Fatai*, and other key members of the association.

The visit began on a solemn note as CP Ojajuni led everyone in a *minute of silence in honor of a hunter who paid the ultimate price* during a recent joint security operation with the Police.

Speaking on behalf of the delegation, the State Chairman, Chief Tajudeen Adele, expressed appreciation for the warm reception. He commended the Commissioner for the visible progress recorded in the state since his assumption of office, with special mention of *“Operation Kosaye”* and its positive impact on crime reduction.

Chief Adele also lauded the Command for integrating the Hunters Association into operational activities, and pledged the association’s *“unflinching support”* to the Police in protecting lives and property across Ogun State.

In his response, CP Ojajuni extended heartfelt appreciation to the leadership and members of the association for their partnership and sacrifice. He described hunters as *“critical stakeholders and force multipliers”* in the state’s security architecture, particularly highlighting their gallantry and local knowledge during *Operation Kosaye*.

The Commissioner called for *sustained collaboration*, urging the association to strengthen efforts in *grassroots intelligence gathering and prompt information sharing* — areas where they have proven most effective.

Reaffirming his *open-door policy*, CP Ojajuni assured the hunters of his continued support and accessibility, stressing that security is a collective responsibility.

*“Together, we can make Ogun State safer for all,”* he said.

The meeting ended with mutual commitments to deepen synergy between the Police and local security structures.
