Otunba Dapo Okubadejo, the Ogun State Honourable Commissioner for Finance and Chief Economic Adviser, has reaffirmed his unwavering determination to strengthen the All Progressives Congress (APC), deepen grassroots unity, and sustain the Renewed Hope Agenda alongside Governor Dapo Abiodun’s transformative ISEYA development vision across Ijebu-Ode and Ogun State at large.

This renewed commitment was expressed as Otunba Okubadejo warmly received the newly elected APC executives of Ijebu-Ode Local Government and Ward 9 at his country home in Ijebu-Ode during separate courtesy visits held at different intervals.

The delegations, led by Hon. Comrade Arowolo (Arokem) for the Local Government and Mr. Waheed Moshood (Blacky) for Ward 9, used the opportunity to appreciate his consistent support, inclusive leadership style, and tireless contributions to both party development and community advancement.

The visiting executives highlighted their ongoing efforts in grassroots mobilisation, stakeholder engagement, and unity-building across the local government and ward levels, noting that their interactions with leaders and party faithfuls have continued to strengthen APC’s structure and relevance.

They commended Otunba Okubadejo for his accessibility, patriotism, and proactive role in fostering cohesion without discrimination.

In his response, Otunba Okubadejo expressed deep appreciation for the visits and the commitment of the party executives, assuring them that such engagements would be sustained regularly to promote synergy and strategic alignment. He charged them to remain selfless, patriotic, and focused, emphasizing unity, teamwork, and aggressive grassroots mobilisation as critical pillars for ensuring APC’s resounding success in the 2027 general elections.

He cautioned strongly against factionalism and divisive tendencies, stressing that all opportunities within government must flow through the party structure rather than through informal groups, in order to preserve discipline, fairness, and institutional strength within the APC.

Looking ahead, Otunba Okubadejo urged party leaders and stakeholders to prioritise competence, credibility, and the collective interest of the people in selecting candidates, devoid of sentiment or personal gain.

He also called on the good people of Ijebu-Ode to continue appreciating Governor Dapo Abiodun for the unprecedented infrastructural transformation being witnessed across the local government, noting that the current administration has delivered remarkable progress unmatched in recent times.

He underscored the importance of “inclusive party unity,” encouraging leaders to accommodate diverse interests, particularly youth and women, as a strategy to minimise internal conflicts and strengthen the party’s base. He further tasked the executives to return to their respective wards and units to consolidate structures and actively engage the electorate, using the administration’s achievements as a compelling tool for voter mobilisation.

Highlighting tangible strides under the present administration, Otunba Okubadejo listed numerous infrastructural projects across Ijebu-Ode, including extensive road constructions and rehabilitations spanning Olojabara, Okenla, Imoru, Fusigboye to Ashafa, Moborode to Omo-Owo, Igbeba to Yidi, Olisa to Saka Ashiru, Epe Garage Roundabout, Itoro Roundabout, Awujale Palace Road to Idobi, Stadium Road, Idomila Junction, Awokoya to Igbeba Junction expansion, Tam Balogun, Ikangba, Oshinubi, New Road, Abeokuta Road to Obalende, Erinlu to Imodi-Mosa, and Ijebu-Ode Club Road, among others.

He also pointed to the regeneration of the GRA Housing Estate in Igbeba, the upgrade of Ijebu-Ode Technical College, and the development of the Ijebu Economic Development Cluster along the Ijebu-Ode–Epe Expressway, which hosts the newly approved Inland Dry Port and is set to benefit from the Federal Government rail line to boost commerce and connectivity.

Further developments include the forthcoming comprehensive renovation of the Otunba Dipo Dina International Stadium and the ongoing construction of the Itanrin-Sabo Road linking Idomowo Road near the Ijebu-Ode Central Mosque.

He also reaffirmed his continued efforts in facilitating employment opportunities for constituents at both state and federal levels, with a promise to do even more.

Reiterating his vision, Otunba Okubadejo affirmed that these efforts are part of a broader mission to build a stronger, more united APC while driving sustainable socio-economic development across Ogun State.

His message remains clear and resolute—through unity, discipline, and strategic grassroots engagement, the APC will not only consolidate its gains but also secure a more prosperous future for the people under the Renewed Hope Agenda and the enduring ISEYA vision.
