In a time when criticism often overshadows commendation, it is important that we also recognize and celebrate officers of the law who distinguish themselves through dedication, professionalism, and impactful service. 

Good deeds deserve to be acknowledged, and exemplary conduct should never go unnoticed.

The "Oracle of Peace" remains steadfast in its commitment to applauding outstanding performances within our security institutions. 

In this regard, we proudly commend CSP Idowu Olatunji George, the Divisional Police Officer (DPO) of Sango-Ota Division—an unrelenting crime fighter and a tireless advocate for peace and order.

Following the directive of the Commissioner of Police, Ogun State Command, CP Bode Ojajuni, CSP George demonstrated prompt leadership and operational efficiency by swiftly mobilizing his team to address the persistent issue of traffic congestion within his jurisdiction.

Under the ongoing “Operation No Traffic Gridlock” in Sango-Ota, operatives of the Division were strategically deployed to identified hotspots notorious for traffic violations and road obstruction. 

The enforcement exercise yielded significant results, with several vehicles and tricycles intercepted for breaching traffic regulations. Offenders found deliberately obstructing the free flow of traffic were impounded in line with the Command’s zero-tolerance policy.

In the course of the operation, nine individuals were arrested and subsequently arraigned for various traffic-related offences and acts of public obstruction. 

This decisive action sends a clear message that indiscipline on our roads will not be tolerated.

The Commissioner of Police has rightly commended the professionalism and commitment exhibited by the operatives, reaffirming the Command’s resolve to maintain order and enforce the law without fear or favour. 

He further emphasized that anyone found undermining public safety through traffic violations or disobedience to lawful directives will face the full weight of the law.

This proactive intervention has not only restored sanity to the affected corridors but also reinforced public confidence in the capacity of the police to respond effectively to societal challenges.

Indeed, when officers rise above the call of duty, they deserve our recognition. Commendation is not just an act of appreciation—it is a motivation for continued excellence and a reminder that integrity in service still thrives.
