THE CONSUL GENERAL OF THE PEOPLE'S REPUBLIC OF CHINA PAYS A COURTESY VISIT TO AIG ZONE 2.



The Consul General of the People's Republic of China in Lagos, Consul General Yan Yuging paid a courtesy visit to the Assistant Inspector General of Police in charge of Zone 2 headquarters, AIG Olohundare Moshoad Jimoh, at the zonal headquarters, Onikan, Lagos.



During the visit, the Consul General congratulated the AIG on his recent promotion to the rank of Assistant Inspector General of Police and his deployment as the AIG in charge of Zone 2 headquarters. She also noted that the year 2026 marks 55 years of diplomatic relations between Nigeria and China, and underscored the need to strengthen the cooperation between the Nigeria Police Force and the Chinese diplomatic mission, particularly in the areas of security collaboration, protection of Chinese nationals and their investments as well as intelligence sharing, especially within Lagos and Ogun states.




In his remarks, AIG Olohundare Moshood Jimoh warmly welcomed the Consul General and her delegation, expressing appreciation for the collaboration and support rendered to the Nigeria Police Force during his tenure as the Commissioner of Police, Lagos State Police Command. The AIG emphasized the importance of strategic collaboration in combating crimes and assured the Consul General of the Zonal headquarters’ commitment, under his leadership, to synergize and work closely with relevant stakeholders to ensure the safety and security of lives and property of all residents, including Chinese nationals in Lagos and Ogun States, and by extension, Nigeria.
