AWUJALE INTERREGNUM ADMINISTRATIVE COUNCIL AND OLISA OF IJEBU-ODE BURY THE HATCHET*



The Awujale Interregnum Administrative Council (AIAC), led by Dr. Sunny Kuku, has announced a successful reconciliation with the Olisa of Ijebu-Ode, Rasheed Adesanya, marking a significant step towards peace and unity in Ijebuland.



The development follows a meeting between the Olisa and AIAC members at the Awujale's palace, where they collectively committed to sustaining peace, unity, and development in the region.

As a result of the reconciliation, the Olisa has withdrawn a court case pending before the High Court in Ijebu-Ode, paving the way for a harmonious working relationship with the AIAC.

The Olisa has expressed his commitment to cooperating fully with the Council to ensure a credible transition process towards the selection of the new Awujale of Ijebuland.

The AIAC has appreciated the Olisa's gesture of unity and reaffirmed its dedication to carrying all critical stakeholders along as it continues its mandate.

The Olisa has confirmed his satisfaction with the reconciliation process and reiterated his readiness to work with the AIAC towards a peaceful and transparent selection of the next Awujale.
