OGUN NUJ KICKS Off 2025 PRESS WEEK WITH SYMPOSIUM AND OPENING CEREMONY

 


The Nigeria Union of Journalists, Ogun State Council, is set to commence its 2025 Press Week today, Monday, September 29, 2025, with a symposium and opening ceremony. 

The event is part of a week-long celebration themed "The Future of Journalism: Navigating AI and Objective Reporting".


Key Highlights of the 2025 Press Week:

- *Day 1 (Sunday, September 28):* Church Thanksgiving Service

- *Day 2 (Monday, September 29):* Opening Ceremony and Symposium

- *Day 3 (Tuesday, September 30):* Village Outreach

- *Day 4 (Wednesday, October 1):* Independence Walk, Chapels' Variety Day, and Asun Night/Journalists' Hangout

- *Day 5 (Thursday, October 2):* Health Checkup, Sports Competitions, and Veterans' Night

- *Day 6 (Friday, October 3):* Jumat Service and Asale Asa (Journaliganza)


The event aims to provide a platform for professional discourse, strengthen camaraderie among journalists, and give back to society through outreach programs. 

The NUJ Ogun State Council has emphasized the importance of objective reporting in the age of artificial intelligence.
